Job summary

Sea Containers London, part of Lore Group, is seeking a confident Bar Security Officer for its two distinctive bars on the South Bank. You will ensure a safe, welcoming environment while upholding the highest standards of security, guest care and service throughout shifts.

We’re looking for a calm, professional individual with a strong team ethic who can manage entry policies, assist with crowd control, and collaborate with hotel departments to deliver exceptional experiences for guests at Sea

Qualifications

• SIA Door Supervisor license is required or equivalent.
• Previous hotel, bar or nightlife security experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and professional security presence within our bars and guest areas.
• Welcoming guests and maintaining a friendly, approachable manner.
• Monitor guest behaviour and identify potential issues before they escalate.
• Manage entry and ensure admission policies are consistently followed.
• Support the team with crowd management during busy periods and events.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disputes or challenging situations.
• Work closely with the Bar, Front Office and wider hotel teams.
• Carry out regular checks of designated areas.
• Follow hotel security procedures and accurately report incidents.

Job description

We’re looking for a confident, professional and guest-focused Bar Security Officer to join our team at one of our two distinctive bars: 12th Knot or Lyaness.

Working across our vibrant bar operations, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring the highest standards of safety and security are upheld.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing a visible and professional security presence within our bars and guest areas
• Welcoming guests and maintaining a friendly, approachable manner
• Monitoring guest behaviour and identifying potential issues before they esc
• Managing entry and ensuring our admission policies are consistently followed
• Supporting the team with crowd management during busy periods and events

Supporting the safety and wellbeing of guests and colleagues at all times

What we’re lookin** g for someone who is:

• SIA Door Supervisor licensed
• Confident, professional and approachable
• Calm under pressure with excellent situational awareness
• Comfortable dealing with challenging situations diplomatically
• A strong communicator and team player
• Reliable, punctual and able to work late-night and weekend shifts
• Guest-focused, with a genuine understanding of hospitality

Previous experience in hotel, bar or nightlife security is desirable

Salary : £36,305 p/a + service charge + benefits
