The Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spa, part of The Alexander Hotel Collection, is seeking a Bar Person to work in the 1608 Cocktail Bar, providing food and beverage tray service to spa guests, residents and visitors. Shift work over 5 days is 37.5 hours per week, including weekends.

You will join a team delivering high standards with a focus on guest satisfaction, cocktail service and efficient bar operations. Benefits include uniform, parking and holiday entitlement.

Formación

• Experience in a bar or hotel bar environment.
• Beverage/bar knowledge and experience is required.
• Cocktail knowledge is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Provide bar service to spa guests, hotel residents and visitors.
• Maintain bar stock and presentation for service periods.
• Take orders, prepare cocktails and serve drinks to guests.
• Balance till and handle payments; liaise with restaurant for pre-dinner drinks.

The Role

Working in our '1608' Cocktail Bar offering food and beverage tray service to spa guests, hotel residents and visitors to the hotel and spa. Shift work over 5 days per week totalling 37.5 hrs per week include weekend working.

Main Duties Include

• Ensuring the Bar is stocked ready for each service period
• Ensuring the Bar and Lounge are well presented ready for guests arrival
• Ensuring all the pre-preparation for service is completed
• Meeting and greeting guests entering the bar
• Establishing guest needs and order taking
• Preparing both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages including cocktails
• Tray service of drinks across the service areas
• Service of light lunches and snacks in the bar lounge
• Liaising with the Restaurant in relation to guests who are taking pre dinner drinks and awaiting their restaurant reservation
• Taking payment for all food and beverage served or arranging for charging to resident guests accounts
• Adhering to the Mystery Guest Standards for the Bar
• Ensuring effective clear down of work area at the end of the shift
• Making sure you balance your till and guest charges
• Ensuring the guest areas are left in a presentable state at the end of your shift, 5 days 37.5 hrs per week

Requirements

• Hotel or quality bar experience preferred
• Cocktail knowledge an advantage
• Ability to work daytime and evening shifts including weekends
