Watergate Bay Hotel in Newquay invites applications for a Bar and Waiting Assistant who will craft exquisite drinks and deliver warm, professional service across our restaurant and related spaces. You’ll be central to the guest experience, combining hospitality flair with a genuine care for guests and team alike.

The role is full-time with a zero-hours contract flexibility, offering opportunities to grow within one of the UK’s leading beachside brands.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service ethos and a friendly, professional approach.
• Experience in barista, waiting, or people-facing roles in retail/leisure.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and pride in guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests in a warm, friendly, timely and relaxed yet professional manner.
• Working in all areas of our restaurant.
• Preparing hot and cold drinks with flair, creativity, and consistency.
• Continually build upon company and product knowledge and provide input on improvements.
• Partaking in team tasting sessions for authentic understanding of menus and boosting team creativity.
• Keeping the area you’re responsible for clean, tidy and organised.
• Taking care of guests’ billing.
• Supporting training and development for new team members.
