Job summary

Cuillin Hills Hotel in Portree on the Isle of Skye is seeking a Bar Assistant / Night Porter. The role involves front-of-house service, housekeeping tasks, and night porter duties with additional pay for night shifts. Responsibilities

• Housekeeping: bedrooms, bathrooms, cleaning communal areas, dusting, hoovering, mopping.
• Food & Beverage: taking orders, greeting guests, serving, cash handling, setting tables.
• Kitchen Porter: cleaning, bins, crockery, keeping kitchen tidy.
• Night Porter: check guests in/out, prepare breakfast area, maintain hotel security.

Responsibilities may include some of the following:

• Housekeeping – bedroom changeovers, making bed, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning communal area, dusting, hoovering, mopping
• Food and Beverage – taking orders, greeting guests, running food/drink, cash handling, clearing and setting tables
• Kitchen Porter – Emptying bins, helping keep kitchen clean/tidy, cleaning the crockey, pots/pans, putting everything away in an orderly fashion
• Night Porter (additional pay for night shifts) – Checking guests in/out, setting up for breakfast, general cleaning of hotel communal areas, hotel security

Skills/Qualities Required:

• Experience is preferred, although not essential as full training will be provided
