Job summary

The Peninsula London is seeking an Events Operations Floor Manager - Banqueting to support the Assistant Events Operations Manager and ensure the smooth running of events. You will roster and guide a team through service with a hands-on approach to deliver high levels of service.

With events spaces that impress, including a grand ballroom for up to 450 banquet guests or 1200 for cocktail receptions, you will oversee setup, lead the team, and uphold exceptional standards of guest care and service.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge of food and beverage with passion for conferences and events.
• Experience leading a team and overseeing events in a 5* hotel.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; adaptable and positive.
• Flexible and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Promote The Peninsula London as a culinary destination by delivering memorable guest experiences with passion for excellence.
• Oversee event setup including room layout checks, set-up information, and postings.
• Direct and lead a team to deliver events to agreed standards.
• Ensure punctuality and appearance of banquet service colleagues, uniform compliance.
• Establish positive guest and colleague relationships.
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and upsell food and beverage combinations.
• Update and maintain Guest History records and build relationships with event planners.
