Join us as a Banking Product Control Lead

• Enhance your leadership skills by managing a team on the delivery of all relevant product control activities within Banking Product Control in the Finance Transaction Control function.
• Your daily responsibilities will include providing supporting information as required to customers at a senior level in Financial Control and other key finance areas.

What you’ll do

Responsible for the delivery and integrity of product control activities for a subset of products, supporting statutory and external reporting. Review key reporting metrics and evidence of associated controls for consistency.

Lead a team to deliver high-quality, accurate product-level finance data supporting financial, statutory, regulatory, and management reporting within deadlines.

Your top priorities include:

• Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and controls, aligning with CEC guidelines.
• Leading your team in product control activities within Banking Product Control and meeting reporting cycle deadlines.
• Reviewing month-end production for activities on the group-wide banking architecture.
• Responsible for balance sheet substantiation of relevant product source balances.
• Supporting the Banking Product Controller in all month-end activities and participating in relevant committees.
• Ensuring the integrity of financial information, including balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.
• Providing product support expertise to Business Unit Reporting and Financial Control for audit support during reporting cycles.

The skills you’ll need

You should be a qualified accountant with experience in a business environment, capable of working to tight deadlines and managing key financial deliverables, with relevant commercial insight.

Experience leading global teams of finance professionals and delivering core financial controls and reporting outputs is essential, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, and external audits.

Additional requirements include:

• Ability to build and influence relationships at a senior level.
• Knowledge of Oracle financial applications, data management techniques, including Python, AWS, and Tableau.
• Understanding of change management best practices.
• Experience delivering change in the financial services industry or medium to large corporates.
