Mansion House Surgery in Whitehaven is seeking an enthusiastic Practice Nurse to join the team on a bank basis. The nurse will specialise in treatment room care, provide vaccinations and wound management, and support other nurses within a friendly, patient-centred GP practice.

The role involves organising and prioritising own workload, delivering care to NHS standards, and participating in health education activities with a forward-thinking multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Registered first level nurse with current registration
• Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development
• Minimum 1 year post-registration
• Experience running treatment room clinics preferred
• Knowledge of health promotion strategies
• Awareness of clinical governance issues in primary care
• Respiratory work experience is a plus

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the treatment room, including wound care, vaccinations, and venepuncture.
• Support other nurses in the Practice team and participate in screenings and health education.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update computer records using templates.
• Work collaboratively with the nurse manager and clinical team to deliver care.
• Deliver care in line with NSF and NICE guidelines and evidence-based practice.
• Promote patient-centred care and ensure safety and consent in all procedures.
