Job summary

Mansion House Surgery in Whitehaven is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Practice Nurse who specialises in treatment room care and treatment. This is a bank vacancy with flexible weekly hours to be agreed.

The post involves wound management, vaccinations, venepuncture, ECGs and maintaining accurate records. You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team in a busy GP practice, delivering evidence-based care and upholding high standards.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with UK NMC registration.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Relevant nursing/health degree level modules.
• Minimum 1 year post registration experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care including wound management, vaccinations and injections.
• Support other nurses in the Practice team.
• Undertake screening and diagnostic procedures and participate in health education activities.
• Receive and refer patients when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate, contemporaneous patient records and comply with information requirements.
• Deliver care according to NICE guidelines and contribute to quality improvement.
