Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking a Residential Team Leader in Presteigne to lead a dedicated care team in our residential and nursing home for older people. You will oversee medication administration, care planning and staff development to ensure exceptional, person-centred care daily.

You will foster a safe, welcoming environment, supporting residents, relatives and professionals while maintaining high standards of care and compliance. Weekend coverage may be required as part of bank hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working within residential care for older people.
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
• Previous experience leading or mentoring colleagues, or the confidence to step into a leadership role.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, patient and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating and supporting the care team to deliver exceptional person-centred care.
• Promoting best practice at all times.
• Safely administering and recording medication in line with company policies.
• Monitoring residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly.
• Building positive relationships with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining accurate care plans and documentation.

About the Role
