Job summary

Home Group is hiring for flexible bank care roles at Gainford House. You will support adults with learning disabilities or autism, assist with daily living, budgeting, cooking and appointments, and help customers progress toward independence.

Earn £13.45 per hour with £50 per sleep-in shift, and receive weekly pay. Mileage is reimbursed, and you can access their learning portal and shopping discounts. DBS checks are paid for by the employer.

Qualifications

• A level 2 or above, or equivalent in social care or being willing to work towards this.
• Passion to support our customers, attention to detail.
• Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally.
• Experience of working on own initiative and staying calm under pressure.
• Flexible, customer-focused approach; ability to adapt to individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with daily living tasks to develop independence and achieve goals.
• Support vulnerable customers in a variety of services.
• Help with budgeting, cooking and attending appointments.
• Carry out risk assessments, support planning, and regular reviews.
• Prepare customers for move-on into the community.

Typical day

• Assist customers with their daily living tasks developing their independence, achieve their goals aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans
• Support vulnerable customers in a variety of services
• Support customers with daily tasks like budgeting, cooking and attending appointments
• Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews
• Help customers build independence and prepare for their move-on into the community

You have

• A level 2 or above, or equivalent in social care or being willing to work towards this
• Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail
• Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally
• Experience of working on own initiative, remaining calm under pressure and having a resilient approach
• A flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs, recognising that every customer is different
• To get from A to B, you'll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we'll pay your mileage!

• We're looking for you to work at Gainford House Service ( People with Learning Disabilities and or Autism within a Service, we also work with customers in the community delivering a domiciliary care model).
• Using technology for creating and updating support plans / doing mandatory learning / keeping in touch with colleagues.
• You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
