Priory Ardsley House, 55A Royston Hill, East Ardsley, Wakefield WF3 2HG £13.45 per hour

Bank position with 12 hour day shifts and weekday availability. Some 12 hour night shifts may be required depending on service needs. Ardsley House is a residential service for 13 adults with various needs, accessible by public transport, with a bus stop outside and a nearby train station. Driving is recommended due to location.

Qualifications

  • NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or related area or equivalent or higher recognised qualification.
  • GCSE or NVQ2 in English and Maths.
  • New recruits may commence attainment within six months of joining.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure personal needs are met and support with daily living tasks.
  • Complete daily administration including care plans and notes.
  • Maintain professional relationships with service users, families and colleagues.
  • Adhere to policies to maintain safety, security and confidentiality.

Priory Ardsley House, 55A Royston Hill, East Ardsley, Wakefield WF3 2HG £13.45 per hour

Bank position. 12 hour day shifts, with availability weekdays. Some 12 hour night shifts may be required depending on needs of the service.

Priory Ardsley House has an opportunity for a Bank Support Worker to join our team.

12 hour day shifts, with availability weekdays. Some 12 hour night shifts may be required depending on needs of the service.

Ardsley House, East Ardsley, Wakefield is a residential service supporting 13 males and females with a range of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, mental health needs and autism. It is accessible by public transport, with a bus stop outside the home and a train station approximately 7 minutes’ drive away. The M1 and M62 motorways are also a short drive away. Due to the location of the service, access to a vehicle or the ability to drive is recommended.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the service. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, supporting with care requirements, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.

  • Ensure that the people who use our service have any personal needs or requirements met; including personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living tasks. To support people who use our service in achieving their outcomes in the way that they choose.
  • Complete daily administration including updating person centred support & care plans, updating charts and completing accurate daily notes.
  • Maintains professional relationships whilst developing a good rapport with the people who use our service, their family, colleagues, visitors and other stakeholders.
  • Through own professional behaviour, including adhering to policies and procedures, contributes to the maintenance of safety, security and confidentiality standards.

What you'll bring to the role

Essential for the role

NVQ2 in Health & Social Care or related area or equivalent or higher recognised qualification. GCSE or NVQ2 in English and Maths. N.B. It is not anticipated that all new recruits to the role will have NVQ2 qualification but will commence the attainment process within six months of joining and will have a specific time period in which to qualify.
