Job summary

Caring for Communities and People (CCP) is seeking a Bank Support Worker to join our Accommodation Based Services in Wiltshire. You will work on a casual basis to support Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children and Care Experienced young people, with shifts in Trowbridge and surrounding towns.

The role offers flexible bank/casual hours, a £13.45 per hour rate, and the chance to develop trauma-informed, compassionate support. Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are necessary.

  • Experience as a support worker or a desire to start a career in supporting young people.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Management Team with oversight of homes and lead on support and safety.
  • Be a role model to young people and uphold high standards.
  • Deliver trauma‑informed support and champion diversity and inclusion.
  • Help individuals move into homes, safety planning, training opportunities, independent living skills, and refugee status navigation.

Are you an experienced support worker or looking to begin a career in supporting young people in a brand-new service commissioned by Wiltshire Council?

Then this is the opportunity for you.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our Accommodation Based Services team providing housing and support to Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, and Care Experienced young people in Wiltshire.

We are looking for Support Workers to join a new service in bank positions. Applications from everyone are welcome, including those with lived experience, care experience or refugees with Leave to Remain.

  • You will assist the Management Team with the oversight of homes, leading on support and safety.
  • You will be a role model to the young people, continually pushing for the highest standards.
  • Your support will be trauma-informed. You will understand people's backgrounds and champion diversity and inclusion.
  • There is so much variety. You could be helping someone move and settle into their new home, safety planning to reduce harm, helping someone secure their desired job or secure the place on the training course they have aspired to, support with independent living skills, and obtain refugee status.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be patient, kind, resilient, professional, with a calm and caring approach. Due to the location of our properties, you will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Position:

Bank Support Worker (Job ID 1132)

Hours:

F12.25 hour shifts with a 1hr unpaid break. Casual basis.

Contract:

Bank/Casual Agreement

Location:

Trowbridge, with some homes in Chippenham and Salisbury.

Pay:

£13.45 per hour
