Job summary

Caring for Communities and People (CCP) is recruiting a Support Worker for an Accommodation Based Service in the Trowbridge area, with homes in Chippenham and Salisbury. The role is bank/casual, focusing on housing and support for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children and care-experienced young people.

You will work with a patient, kind, and resilient approach, with a full UK driving licence and own transport. CCP offers paid induction, weekly pay, and a varied shifts pattern.

We have an exciting opportunity for aSupport Workerto join ourAccommodation Based Servicesteam providing housing and support to Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children, and Care Experienced young people inWiltshire.

We are looking for Support Workersto join a new service in bankpositions. Applications from everyone are welcome, including those with lived experience, care experience or refugees with Leave to Remain.

• You will assist the Management Team with the oversight of homes, leading on support and safety.
• You will be a role model to the young people, continually pushing for the highest standards.
• Your support will be trauma-informed. You will understand people’s backgrounds and championdiversity and inclusion.
• There is so much variety. You could be helping someone move and settle into their new home, safety planning to reduce harm, helping someone secure their desired job or secure the place on the training course they have aspired to, support with independent living skills, and obtain refugee status.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be patient, kind, resilient, professional, with a calm and caring approach. Due to the location of our properties, you will need a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Hours:F12.25 hour shifts with a 1hr unpaid break. Casual basis.

Contract:Bank /Casual Agreement

Location:Trowbridge, with some homes in Chippenham and Salisbury.

Pay:£13.45 per hour
