Job summary

Turning Point in England is seeking care staff to support people with learning disabilities at Cornish Close. You will help with daily activities, personal care and developing residents' life skills, within a not-for-profit housing and support service.

Shifts span 8:00–15:00, 15:00–21:30 and nights; flexibility is essential. Bank staff roles are available, with 29 days leave and a strong commitment to family-like support in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Passionate, caring, and enthusiastic.
• Flexible, patient, and non-judgemental.

• Able to demonstrate good communication skills.
• Willing to learn and complete training.

Responsibilities

• Promoting the independence of people we support
• Supporting a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holiday
• Arranging activities in the home and in the local community
• Developing residents' life skills and personal interests
• Helping residents stay safe and healthy
• Assisting with personal care needs
• Manual handling
• Supporting people with medication
• Ensuring record keeping is always maintained to the required standard and contributing to service monitoring requirements
