Job summary

Turning Point UK is recruiting a Bank Support Worker at Cornish Close, Wythenshawe, to support 14 residents with physical, learning and mental health needs. You will provide person-centred care, help with daily living tasks, and support activities inside the home and in the local community on a 24-hour rota.

Ideal candidates are passionate, flexible and a strong team player with good communication. Training is provided; experience with learning disabilities is beneficial but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with learning disabilities is beneficial but not essential.
• Passionate, caring and enthusiastic.
• Flexible, patient and non-judgemental.
• Good communication skills.
• Willing to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Promoting the independence of people we support.
• Supporting daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holiday.
• Arranging activities in the home and in the local community.
• Developing residents' life skills and personal interests.
• Helping residents stay safe and healthy; assisting with personal care.
• Manual handling; supporting people with medication; maintaining records.
