Job summary

Avenues Group is seeking a Bank Support Worker for our PBS service in Hildenborough, near Tonbridge. The role supports five men with learning disabilities, autism, and communication needs in a rural setting.

A driving licence with access to a vehicle is required, as transport is necessary for this location. We offer flexible, zero hours contracts with opportunities for ongoing professional development, DBS clearance, and access to training.

Responsibilities

• Support people to live independently, promoting choice, dignity and respect.

• Use PBS approaches to understand and respond to behaviours of concern.
• Encourage community participation, hobbies and meaningful relationships.

About the Role

We're looking for Bank Support Workers to join our specialist Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) service in Hildenborough, supporting five men with learning disabilities, autism, communication needs and behaviours of concern.

This is a rewarding but highly specialist role, where your experience, approach and values will have a direct impact on the lives of the people we support. For this role it is required to have some mode of transport e.g driving licence with access to a vehicle or motorbike as this service is in a very rural location.

You’ll understand that behaviour is a form of communication and will be confident in using proactive, person-centred approaches that promote dignity, independence and positive outcomes. You’ll know how important consistency is and recognise that the relationships you build can significantly improve a person's confidence, wellbeing and overall quality of life.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting people to live independently while promoting choice, dignity and respect.
