Job summary

CareTech Group is seeking a Bank Support Worker for Beecroft in Cannock to provide person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. This permanent bank role has 0 hours per week on a rota, covering evenings, weekends and holidays.

You will deliver support per individual plans, assist with daily living skills, promote independence and maintain records as part of a responsive care team.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work towards a Health & Social Care qualification.
  • Experience in a care environment preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis.
  • Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual plans.
  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care as needed.
  • Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing of service users.
  • Support activities, appointments and community access.
  • Maintain accurate records and work within a team.

Location: Cannock
Rate: £12.79 per hour
Permanent | Bank Contract | 0 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service – Beecroft

Beecroft is a supported living environment which provides care and support to people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music.,
There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
  • Holidays and short breaks
  • Walks in the local park and community
  • Cooking and baking to develop life skills
The Role

You will:

  • Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Support activities, appointments, and community access
  • Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
  • Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays
Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.
