Job summary

The National Autistic Society is seeking a Bank Support Worker for Park View in Burnham-on-Sea to support autistic adults in a residential setting. You will follow individual support plans and daily routines to help residents live more independently.

We welcome compassionate applicants with or without prior experience working with autistic people, and offer flexible shifts including evenings and weekends. DBS checks are preferred but not essential, sponsorship is not provided.

About the Service

Park View is a residential service in Burnham on Sea for four autistic adults, there is a self-contained flat within the home and the main house will be shared between 3 individuals when the home is fully occupied. It provides an ideal environment for autistic people and with the help of our fully-trained and experienced staff we can enable individuals to acquire skills to live more independently.

About the Role

We are looking for caring and reliableBankSupport Workers. Your role is to help people live their best lives by following their support plans and daily routines.

What You'll Do
  • Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, eating)
  • Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)
What We're Looking For
  • For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
  • Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
  • Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome

As you are a bank worker, you will be able topick and choosethe shifts that you work, and services have a mixture of hours that can include evenings and weekends.

Possession of a driving licence (minimum one year) ispreferred.

Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
