Job summary

Voyage Care's Barton upon Humber residential service is seeking a compassionate Bank Support Worker to help people gain independence and engage in daily activities within a friendly team.

You will support with personal care, community access, and life skills, with DBS checks required. Driving licence is preferred; resilience, flexibility and experience with enhanced support are valued.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence preferred.
• Must be resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
• Experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice.
• Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism and trauma.

Typical Shifts are: 7.30am - 7.30pm

As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our residential service in Barton upon Humber is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You'll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going to the holiday.

We're interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Support Workers should hold a full UK driving licence, be resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, have experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism and people who have experienced trauma.
