A leading support services organization is seeking Bank Support Practitioners in Stevenston. This role offers flexible hours with a 0hrs contract, ideal for those able to work evenings and weekends. Candidates will support individuals with Autism and complex learning disabilities in daily living activities. Previous care experience is not required as training will be provided. Here at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland we are currently looking to recruit Bank Support Practitioners for our Todhill services in Stevenston, where we support individuals with a variety of different needs such as ongoing Mental Health issues, Autism, Learning Disabilities and Dementia.
You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We’ll give you all the training you need to be an amazing Bank Support Practitioner.
Please be aware that we are looking to recruit candidates who are regularly able to pick up evening, weekend or nighttime shifts.
This is a 0hrs contract with flexible hours so you are able to pick and choose your own shifts.
Due to the needs of the service, we are only able to consider applications from candidates who have a valid UK Driving licence for manual vehicles. Access to your own car is not necessary.
This campus has recently undergone a multi-million pound development to provide 21 brand new homes for the people we support and these houses have been designed to respond to the needs and preferences of the people who will live in them as well as to fit in with the surrounding natural environment. With this development we feel that we have unlocked the full potential of Todhill's beautiful 105 acre rural site which includes a Day Centre Service offering a range of vocational and fun activities including horticulture, arts and crafts and animal husbandry.
You will be part of a committed team, supporting individuals with Autism and associated complex learning disabilities. All of the people supported need full support with all aspects of their life which includes either full support with personal care or prompting with personal care, support with cooking or prompting to cook meals, general household tasks, shopping and attending appointments. Some people have complex communication needs and we use different communication tools to meet the individuals' needs. Some of the individuals can get anxious and display challenging behaviour this always tends to be when the person is trying to communicate something.
Regularly able to pick up evening, weekend or nighttime shifts. Valid UK Driving licence for manual vehicles. 0hrs contract with flexible hours. Ability to use communication tools to support individuals with complex communication needs.

All successful Bank Support Practitioner applicants will be given a conditional offer - this is subject to the receipt of satisfactory references and PVG; having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector. All new staff members will be required to register with the SSSC within 3 months of their start date.
