Job summary

THE RICHMOND FELLOWSHIP SCOTLAND LIMITED is seeking Bank Support Practitioners to work across West Dunbartonshire, including Balloch, Dumbarton and Clydebank. Shifts are flexible on a bank (as and when required) basis, ideal for individuals with commitments seeking varied hours.

You will provide person-centred support to people in their own homes, helping with daily living tasks, medication, appointments and social activities, while building trusted relationships and offering emotional support.

Due to expansion, we're on the lookout for motivated and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join our teams across West Dunbartonshireas Bank Support Practitioners, including Balloch, Dumbarton and Clydebank.

Our bank contracts offer flexibility over the days and hours you work. Tell us when you are available, and we will look to give you shifts that fit. This is a Bank (as and when required) role, meaning shifts will be offered based on service needs. If you're looking for full-time, guaranteed hours, this may not be the right fit, but if you want flexibility, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role:

As a Bank Support Practitioner, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support when it's needed most. You will help ensure consistent support during staff leave, sickness or training. To build trusting relationships with the people we support, we ask that you ideally pick up 1-2 shifts per week.

Our teams provide person centred support to individuals living in their own homes with diverse needs, including mental health challenges, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, addictions and past trauma. You will be part of a dedicated and friendly team, supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, support with moving and handling and personal care. You'll also provide emotional support and assist them to maintain relationships with family and friends. Some individuals have complex communication needs and use different communication tools to meet their needs.

To be a great Bank Support Practitioner, you will bring:

Your responsibilities may include:
  • Supporting with meal preparation and medication
  • Providing personal care and assisting with moving and handling

  • Encouraging hobbies, interests, social opportunities and confidence-building
  • Supporting with budgeting, daily living skills and personal organisation
  • Providing emotional support and helping individuals maintain positive relationships

No two days are the same, and every shift offers the chance to make a meaningful difference.

Shift Patterns:

Our service provides 24/7 support. As part of the bank team, you may be offered:

  • Early shifts from 7:30am
  • Late shifts finishing at 9:30pm or 10pm
  • Sleepovers
  • Waking night
  • Weekends and public holidays
