Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a Bank Senior Care and Support Assistant in Lowestoft to lead a team and provide compassionate care for adults with learning disabilities at Clover Court. The role focuses on independence, safeguarding, and building confidence, with opportunities for development while working within a not-for-profit framework.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience supervising people is desirable.
• Recent experience supporting vulnerable people in a similar role.
• Personalised approach to care with strong interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic and flexible approach.
• Strong organisational skills and basic literacy and numeracy.
• Proficient technology/IT skills (Microsoft Office and similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Care and Support Assistants to ensure customers receive the best support.
• Provide personal care and encourage independence by building confidence and self-esteem.
• Promote safe practices, complete risk assessments and manage safeguarding to keep customers safe.
• Build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Carry out team supervisions.
• Create and update electronic care and support plans.
