Job summary

Barchester Healthcare is seeking a Bank Residential Senior Carer to support our care home teams on a flexible bank basis. You will lead care staff, provide training, supervise shifts and help with medication administration and care plan reviews.

You’ll engage with GPs, district nurses and residents' families to ensure high-quality, person-centred care and a warm, welcoming environment for residents.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience in a residential care setting with proven team leadership.
• Ability to make appropriate decisions to support residents' needs and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of care staff on shift, including training and supervision.
• Assist with administering and ordering medication and reviewing resident care plans.
• Liaise with GPs, district nursing teams and residents' families to coordinate care.
• Create a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment for residents.
