Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Bank Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability Nurse (RMN / RNLD) with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

Cygnet Hospital Taunton provides an acute inpatient admission service for men and a specialist inpatient service for men diagnosed with a learning disability.

The hospital is situated in a rural setting amongst Taunton farmland, within acres of peaceful fields. • Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Work closely with the management team to develop the service, conduct audits, and improve quality.
• Attend all training and engage in CPD to enhance knowledge and promote nursing excellence.
• Ensure that individual care plans are complete and maintained collectively with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals, in accordance with NMC guidelines.
• Administer medicines within healthcare procedures and guidelines.

You

An experienced RMN/RNLD with a current Pin Number, you'll have:

• The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits, and demonstrate integrity in your role.
• A good understanding of the latest nursing practices.
• A commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage, and reduce risk.
• Compassion, resilience, and a dedication to empower and support service user independence.
• The ability to deputise in a clinical lead role.
• An interest in leadership, research, and assessment.
