Bank Registered Nurse Pre Assessment / Spire Bushey / Ad-Hoc Shifts

Spire Bushey Hospital has a fantastic opportunity for a Bank Registered Nurse to join our Bank team.

Spire Bushey Hospital is one of North London's and Hertfordshire's leading private hospitals, renowned for delivering high-quality private healthcare. The hospital specializes in complex treatments including orthopaedics, neuro spinal, general surgery, and gynaecology. It is part of a four-site portfolio, supported by Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre, and Spire Pathology Centre, all located on Centennial Park in Elstree, just 5 minutes from the main hospital site.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in managing and organizing care across various hospital settings.
  2. Assess patients' health and wellbeing across a complex and changing caseload.
  3. Assist in delivering care tailored to individual health and wellbeing needs.
  4. Communicate complex, sensitive, or contentious information effectively.
  5. Develop personal knowledge and skills, as well as those of colleagues.
  6. Promote best practices in health, safety, and security.
  7. Contribute to maintaining and developing hospital services.
  8. Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Uphold principles of equality, diversity, and patients' rights.
  10. Understand and acknowledge the risks of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and take responsibility for their prevention and control, as per line manager guidance.
Who We're Looking For:
  • Registered Nurse with relevant qualifications.
  • Working towards a post-registration qualification in a clinical specialty.
  • Experience working in teams and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply clinical reasoning to complex and varied patient cases.
  • Previous caring role experience.
  • Competence in a range of nursing skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge.
  • Mandatory training including infection control and health and safety.
  • Principles of accountable practice.
  • Proficiency in English (IELTS 7.0 or equivalent).
  • Equipment and Medical Devices Competences.
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development.
  • Trained in MS Office and relevant software.
  • Experience with root cause analysis.
