Job summary

The Harborne Hospital, part of HCA UK, is seeking Bank Porters to provide a first‑class portering service for patients, consultants and visitors. You will move patients, deliver mail and equipment, and support hospital operations during day and night shifts.

Candidates should be physically fit with prior similar experience, strong communication skills and knowledge of health and safety procedures. This role helps ensure safe, efficient patient flow and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide portering and security services including mail, linen, drugs and deliveries.

• Relieve reception staff for breaks and assist with post/franking.
• Park consultants' cars and assist with gas bottle storage and checks.
• Be part of hospital fire, safety and crash teams.

You will provide a first class portering service to all patients, consultants and visitors to the hospital as required. This will include taking patients and visitors to their rooms, transferring patients between hospital departments, delivery of mail, equipment and materials and ensuring the safety and security of everyone within our hospital.**Above all else, we’re committed to the care and improvement of human life.
