Bank Physiotherapist

Hours : Bank worker

Location : Rennie Grove Peace Grove House, St Albans

Salary : Rennie Grove Peace Band 6 (Bank) - £21.86 per hour

Closing date : 13 February 2026 at 12 noon

Interview date : TBC

What you will do

Ensure evidence‑based practice and practice development across the patient pathway within the physiotherapy therapy service, the multi‑disciplinary team (MDT) and other partnership organisations.

Provide specialised assessment and treatment for patients with complex needs and provide expert advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers and relatives and other non‑professionals.

Take a role in the advanced assessment, clinical diagnosis and treatment of patients. Provide support and advice to patients and their carers and professionals. Make appropriate referrals to the MDT, ensuring seamless service for patients.

Provide specialist advice and education on all aspects of physiotherapy therapy management and rehabilitation for patients, relatives and health care professionals.

Undertake comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and implementation of therapy intervention for patients with progressive and life‑threatening diseases as an autonomous practitioner. This includes using analytical skills, clinical reasoning, and the use of appropriate outcome measures.

Provide high quality physiotherapy input to optimise non‑pharmacological management of symptoms including breathlessness and pain. Be a source of expertise, advocating non‑pharmacological approaches to symptom control within the interdisciplinary team.

What you will need
