Job summary

Operose Health is seeking a Bank Phlebotomist to support primary care services in Devon. The role focuses on phlebotomy, blood collection, and patient care within a primary care setting.

You will assist with patient duties, help with CQC-related duties, and maintain accurate medical records while ensuring data security and confidentiality in a busy practice environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Primary Care setting and phlebotomy is essential.
• Must have basic PC skills such as Word, Excel and email.
• Ability to use own judgement and be aware of professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient duties as required and support other team members such as clinical and Nurse Lead with patient care.
• Supporting the Practice with duties related to CQC outcomes and ensuring compliance is maintained.
• You will be working with patients with long term conditions such as Diabetes etc. So must have experience in Phlebotomy.
• Properly prepare and assemble the equipment to include tourniquets, needles, gauze cotton and disposal containers for needles
• Collect blood for testing.
• Update and maintain patient’s medical record.
