Randox Laboratories Ltd. is seeking Bank Phlebotomists to support our Belfast/Holywood clinic network.

This zero-hours position offers shifts on an as-needed basis with the flexibility to accept assignments that fit your availability. You must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be willing to obtain vaccination after a successful interview, and you will undergo an enhanced Access NI check in line with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Valid UK or Irish driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Take blood samples from private and corporate clients and enter data into the Patient Information System (PIS).
• Maintain accurate records in PIS and upload relevant documentation.
• Represent Randox professionally at offsite events and appointments.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at the private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
• Assist with reception, front of house and other administrative duties.
• Complete forms, specimen labelling and test order forms accurately.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy to manage multiple software systems.

Working Hours

There are no guaranteed minimum hours. Shifts will be offered based on operational requirements, and successful candidates can choose whether to accept available assignments. Shifts offered are could include 12- hour shifts 7am to 7pm and could include weekends.

For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage.

In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Access NI check.

Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire. Suitably experienced candidates on a student visa who can work 20 hours per week can also be considered.

This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
• Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
• Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
• Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
• Help with reception, front of house and other administrative duties.
• Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks.

Essential criteria:

• Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
• Strong communication skills.
• Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
• Valid UK or Irish driving licence.

Desirable:

• Experience in a private healthcare setting.
• Experience in customer service.
• 6 months experience in Phlebotomy.
• Sales / Retail experience.
