Job summary

The Butterfield Eye Unit at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester, is recruiting Bank Ophthalmic Technicians to support the Virtual Glaucoma Service and diagnostic clinics. You will perform ophthalmic tests, obtain high-quality imaging and ensure accurate documentation to aid virtual and face-to-face clinical decisions.

Qualifications

• Ophthalmic testing experience or training is desirable.
• Ability to record data accurately in patient records.
• Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary ophthalmology team.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual acuity testing, visual field assessment and OCT imaging.
• Prepare patients for investigations and explain procedures.
• Record and file diagnostic information in electronic records.
• Support high-volume diagnostic clinics and virtual reviews.
