Vacancy: Bank Maintenance Operative

This role is a dual position across two Abbeyfield care homes: Lee House in Wimbledon and Abbeyfield House in New Malden. Flexible working hours are available, including evening and weekend shifts.

About the Care Homes:

• Lee House: An attractive residential care home in Wimbledon supporting residents over 65.
• Abbeyfield House: A purpose-built Dementia Care Home in New Malden, offering tailored 24-hour care to up to 36 residents.

Main Duties:

1. Carry out repairs effectively, promptly, and to a high standard.
2. Ensure work is conducted safely, adhering to relevant regulations.
3. Identify and report issues to minimize impact, risk, and damage.
4. Maintain grounds and gardens neatly.
5. Report emergencies to Property Services.
6. Perform and maintain daily repairs and maintenance of the buildings and environment, including painting and decorating residents’ rooms.
7. Maintain confidentiality in all matters.
8. Make minor adjustments to windows, doors, restrictors, and door closers.
9. Keep all relevant documentation up to date.

About You:

• Possess good general property maintenance knowledge and experience in providing maintenance services.
• Excellent communication skills, literacy, and computer literacy.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and the ability to assess and manage risks.
• Ability to commute to both sites in New Malden and Wimbledon.
