Job summary

The Willows Care Home, part of CARE CONCERN GROUP LIMITED, is seeking a Domestic Assistant in Hinckley. You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment, caring for residents and ensuring daily spaces meet high hygiene standards.

You will support laundry, assist with care routines and follow infection control procedures to protect wellbeing. No prior experience is essential, training provided.

Qualifications

• Positive and reliable approach.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience is welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard of hygiene and presentation.
• Support laundry services and handle personal belongings with care.
• Follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures.
• Contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.

Job description

The Willows Care Home is a 31 bed care home located in the market town of Hinckley, Leicestershire. Providing residential and residential dementia care, the home offers a warm and welcoming environment where colleagues work together to provide high quality, person centred care. With a strong family atmosphere and a focus on supporting Residents to enjoy meaningful daily experiences, The Willows is a rewarding place to work and make a real difference to the lives of Residents every day.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.95- £13.45 per hour depending on experience
• Contracted to 32 or 18 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life.

You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly.

Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
