Job summary

The Willows Care Home in Hinckley is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our daily meal service. You will help prepare meals, keep the kitchen clean and safe, and assist with deliveries and stock organisation in a friendly, family‑oriented team.

You will work with the Chef and team to ensure meals are prepared to a high standard, with a focus on hygiene and efficient operations in a supportive environment that values residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

Role Overview
As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.
You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.
This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
