Job summary

Templeton House Care Home in Ayr is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help provide high quality meals in a well organised kitchen. You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness, assist with deliveries and stock, and work with the Chef to ensure the kitchen runs safely and smoothly.

This hands-on role offers flexible bank hours, family-friendly working arrangements, and PVG or uniform provision as part of the role. Prior kitchen experience is helpful but not essential.

Kitchen Assistant

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to Bank hours per week - flexible hours available - family friendly working hours available
• Paid PVG, uniform provided

Role Overview

As Kitchen Assistant, you will support the delivery of high quality meals within a clean, safe and well organised kitchen environment. This is a hands on role where your contribution helps ensure meals are prepared efficiently and to a high standard.

You will support food preparation, maintain cleanliness across the kitchen and assist with deliveries, storage and stock organisation. Working closely with the Chef and wider team, you will help ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and safely at all times.

This role offers a consistent routine and the opportunity to build or develop your experience within a supportive and well organised kitchen environment.
