Job summary

Meallmore Ltd seeks a Bank Housekeeping Assistant to help keep our Fraserburgh home clean and welcoming. This bank position offers “as and when required” hours, with shifts arranged according to care home needs and staff availability.

You will contribute to a warm environment, support residents, visitors and colleagues, and enjoy flexible scheduling supported by an easy-to-use online app for viewing shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or domestic cleaning with infection control knowledge.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong time-management abilities.
• Caring, kind and communicative approach within a care home environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' facilities, public areas and rooms to high cleaning standards.

As a Housekeeping Assistant with Meallmore, you will play a key role in creating a warm, clean, and welcoming home, making a meaningful difference to the comfort and wellbeing of our residents, visitors, and colleagues.

Role & Responsibilities

• Ensuring that our residents' care home facilities, public areas and rooms are maintained to the highest cleaning standards
• Take care of residents’ laundry with attention and care ensuring items are washed, dried, ironed, and put away neatly
• Replenish and maintain supplies in both resident rooms and common areas
• Communicate effectively with residents and colleagues to address needs and concerns

What we are looking for

• Experience from a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role with a basic understanding of infection control, COSHH and compliance standards
• Takes pride in your work with strong attention to detail and time-management skills
• Demonstrates a kind, caring, and considerate approach within the care home environment
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with excellent communication skills
