Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a proactive Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to support a GP practice in Rotherham. The ideal candidate will assist with routine clinical duties, manage patient flow and help maintain high-quality care delivery in a busy primary care environment.

Responsibilities include performing observations, assisting with treatment room procedures, phlebotomy (if trained), ECGs, lifestyle guidance and accurate clinical documentation. DBS enhancement is required for the role.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS.

You will be part of an organised primary care environment where you will help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery. The practice offers strong support and clear guidance to ensure every session runs smoothly.
