Locum Ready is seeking a Locum HCA to support a GP practice in Cirencester. The role suits a proactive Healthcare Assistant who can assist with routine procedures, patient assessments and day-to-day treatment room activity.

You will be part of an organised primary care environment where you will help manage patient flow, assist with core clinical duties and contribute to high-quality care delivery. The practice offers strong support and clear guidance to ensure every session runs smoothly.

Qualifications

• Prior HCA experience in primary care or the NHS.
• Comfortable carrying out clinical observations and assisting with routine procedures.
• Phlebotomy experience is desirable.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
• Basic IT competence for clinical system documentation.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform observations including BP, pulse, temperature and oxygen saturation.
• Support treatment room procedures and assist clinicians with routine tasks.
• Perform phlebotomy and handle samples if trained.
• Complete ECGs and assist with standard patient assessments.
• Provide lifestyle advice and health promotion.
• Update patient records accurately in the clinical system.
• Assist clinicians with general tasks as required.
