Job summary

Spire Leeds Hospital is seeking a Clinical Healthcare Assistant to join our Staffing Bank in Leeds. The role requires flexibility to pick up shifts across Early, Late, Long Day and Night patterns and prior hospital experience.

You’ll support the clinical team and participate in care delivery within a busy ward setting. This bank position offers competitive hourly rates, full induction including mandatory training updates, and opportunities for progression.

• System literacy is essential; MS Office and SAP are desirable.

Responsibilities

Spire Leeds has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Healthcare Assistant to join our Staffing Bank.

• Shift Patterns are a combination of - Early's, Lates, Long Days, Nights
• Must have previous experience working in a hospital setting

Spire Leeds Hospital, located in Roundhay, Leeds, has been treating patients for almost 30 years. We are the region's largest private hospital in terms of the range of services we offer and the number of consultants we work with. The hospital offers a range of services and facilities including four operating theatres, a sterile services department, a dedicated endoscopy suite, and a diagnostic and imaging department with an MRI and CT scanner. There are outpatient and physiotherapy departments providing services six days per week

Duties and responsibilities;

To provide exemplary planned care for patients while managing more than one clinical team.

You will be required to:

• In this fast-paced role, you will be required to assist our Clinical team in providing exemplary Care within the department, whilst providing Healthcare Assistance to our Nursing team.
• As a HCA, duties will include routine tasks related to the delivery of care to ensure our patient's health and well-being.
• You will move and set up diagnostic equipment (after training) and other resources, as well as applying technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
• You must have experience or a willingness to learn both Venepuncture and ECG Recording.

Who we're looking for

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is essential
• Must have previous experience working as an HCA in an hospital setting, surgical ward, or ward experience
• System literacy is essential; MS Office and SAP is desirable
• Must be accurate and have a strong desire for attention to detail.
