Qualifications

  • Must have a full clean UK driving license.

Bank Female Support Worker

Pay rate: £13.18
Shift Pattern:
8am - 8pm
Requirements:
FULL CLEAN UK DRIVING LICENSE

Unfortunately, we cannot provide VISA sponsorship and we do not hire on a relocation basis. You must currently be based in/around the Ipswich area and able to commute.
We’ve got an exciting opportunity for the right person to work with an individual living in Ipswich.
This role will be supporting a young person with Angelman’s Syndrome. This individual has a great sense of humour and spends a lot of his time on the floor playing games.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support with all facets of daily living.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure the individual's safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the individual and other team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
  • Adhere to care plans and guidelines provided.
  • Aid with light household chores which may include cooking and cleaning.
  • Help to plan and organise leisure opportunities such as seeing favourite bands, walking, and places of interest.
  • Watch DVDs with them and join in with specific interests (you will need to be willing to learn about these).
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals requiring care.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Empathy, patience, and compassion when interacting with individuals in need of support.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet varying care needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undergo additional training and development as required.
  • UK driver’s license preferable.
  • Previous experience with learning disabilities.
  • Enthusiastic and willingness to learn.
