Job summary

Glebe House Care Home in East Ayrshire is seeking a Domestic Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment. You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, assist with laundry, and follow infection control procedures to protect wellbeing.

Bank placements offer weekend and back shifts, paid PVG, and a uniform. A positive, reliable approach and good attention to detail are valued; previous care experience is welcome but not essential.

Domestic Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Contracted to Bank hours per week - weekend and back shifts available
• Paid PVG, uniform provided

Role Overview

As Domestic Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a clean, safe and welcoming environment that supports wellbeing, dignity and comfort. This is a hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will have a direct impact on daily life. You will be responsible for cleaning residents’ rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, helping to ensure personal belongings are handled with care and returned correctly. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and cleaning procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in line with required standards. Your role will contribute to a well organised, respectful and comfortable environment for everyone.
