Join Our Team as a Bank Cook at Sussex Housing & Care

We are seeking a dedicated Bank Cook to join our friendly team at Oakwood Court Care Home. Our values align with providing excellent service and care.

Your Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals, ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene.
• Present and serve meals to residents and visitors.
• Supervise kitchen General Assistants and ensure their duties are completed.
• Maintain cleanliness and security of kitchen stock and equipment.
• Adhere to all regulations concerning hygiene, allergens, and health and safety.
• Complete HACCP documentation accurately.

Candidate Requirements

• City and Guilds 706/1/2 in Catering or equivalent qualification, or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving, with a focus on quality and hygiene.
• Good communication skills and ability to respond positively to feedback.
• Food safety training preferred.
