Part-time Housekeeper/Cook job

A warm and welcoming family based in central Guildford, are looking for a reliable and proactive part-time Housekeeper/Cook to help manage their busy household. The home is a spacious five-bedroom, three-storey house. The family are seeking someone who can assist with daily cleaning, laundry, and ironing, as well as prepare fresh, healthy meals for the three young children aged between 2 and 8. The role is for 25 to 30 hours per week, spread over 4 or 5 weekdays, typically in the afternoons and early evenings. In addition to housekeeping and cooking, they are looking for someone who can offer a helping hand with the children at the end of the day, supporting their after-school routine and meal times. The ideal candidate will be experienced in similar roles, organised, and confident working in a family environment. A love of cooking, especially nutritious meals for children and adults alike, is important, as is a flexible, can-do attitude. This is a live-out position.

Duties:

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of a large family home across three floors
• Laundry and ironing for the household
• Some local errands
• Preparing and cooking fresh, healthy meals for three children aged between 2 and 8
• Light meal prep for parents as needed (same as children)
• Supporting with the children at the end of the day (e.g. after school routine, supervising during meal time)

The Ideal Candidate will be experienced in both housekeeping and cooking roles (especially in family settings), comfortable working in a home with young children. They will also be organised, trustworthy, and takes initiative with a positive attitude and a willingness to become part of the family routine. A driver with their own car would be preferred.

Start Date: As soon as possible but at the latest end of June

Working Days/Hours: 4 or 5 days per week (flexible) 25-30 hours per week. Finishing at 6/6.30pm

Salary: £18 - £20 GPH
