Job description

Bramley Health is seeking a Cook to join our team, preparing meals for residents across various sites in Croydon, as needed.

The Cook plays a vital role in providing nutritious, hearty meals for our service users.

About us

Bramley Health is a specialist provider in health and social care, supporting men and women of working age with various mental health challenges within our homes. Our goal is to maximize their independence and help them lead meaningful, fulfilling lives.

We operate 6 care homes across Croydon, requiring flexibility to travel between sites.

About the role

Nutrition is key to delivering excellent care. As a Cook, you'll ensure meals meet dietary and cultural requirements, demonstrating a genuine interest in the wellbeing of our service users.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing nutritious meals in accordance with guidelines and requirements
  • Daily cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment
  • Maintaining inventory of kitchen supplies and equipment
  • Applying knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations
  • Engaging with service users to reflect their food preferences
  • Holding Food Hygiene Level 2 certification
  • Previous experience in food preparation within a commercial, domestic, hospital, or care setting
  • Having a warm, approachable personality to connect with service users and vulnerable adults
