Bank Chef

Pay Rate: £16.25 to £19.05 per hour + Holiday Pay Inclusive

Our Client in Stafford are looking for achef that is responsible and expected for overseeing kitchen operations and preparing high quality dishes while managing kitchen staff and ensuring food safety regulations and standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, season, and cook a variety of dishes ensuring consistency and adherence torecipes and menus
• Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality, freshness, and compliance withhealth and safety regulations
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised and compliant with sanitation standards includingregular cleaning of equipment and work surfaces
• Oversee inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies andcontrolling food costs.
• Check environment of kitchen for compliance according to PPM books and Food SafetyRegulations
• Ensure correct usage storage and care of food products, stock control and equipment

Knowledge & Skills:

• Good organisational and planning skills.
• Proven experience in a kitchen and strong understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Strong team player with the ability to influence and manage effectively.
• Good communication, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations an best practice in food handling and preparatio

As a Bank Chef you must have:

• Work Experience as a chef or similar role
• Hands-on experience with food preparation and managing a kitchen environment
• Experience working within a team
• Experience of handling conflicting priorities and expectations to ensure successful outcomes
