Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd is seeking a talented Chef to join our care home team in Hythe, England. This zero-hours contract position allows you to use your culinary skills to improve the wellbeing of our residents without late nights or split shifts.

We want someone who can prepare nutritious meals, cater to dietary needs, maintain kitchen hygiene, and engage with residents. Enjoy free meals and ongoing training in a supportive environment where you can balance work and creativity.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef.
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above).
• Understanding of dietary needs is beneficial.

Your Role:

• Prepare fresh, nutritious, and appetising meals for residents
• Cater for dietary needs (e.g. soft diets, allergies, diabetic requirements)
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and kitchen safety
• Manage stock and minimise waste
• Engage with residents to enhance their dining experience

What we’re looking for:

• Previous Chef experience
• Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above)
• Understanding of dietary needs (care setting experience is a plus)
• Reliable, caring, and team-focused attitude
