Deeside Care Home is part of Care Concern Group and is recruiting a Chef on bank hours to provide high-quality, nutritious meals for residents. You will own food preparation and service, tailoring meals to dietary needs and preferences while maintaining hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive and reliable approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals for residents; meals tailor to dietary needs.
• Own food preparation and service with strong hygiene and food safety standards.

Job description

Our impressive 68-bedded care facility provides residents with exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care, in a luxury setting.

Chef Contract

• £14.56 per hour
• Contracted to Bank hours per week
• Paid PVG, uniform provided

No late evenings or split shifts, offering a consistent working pattern and genuine work life balance, alongside ongoing training and development opportunities.

Role Overview

As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are a key part of daily life. This is a role where your cooking has real impact, bringing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing.

You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements. Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that residents look forward to each day.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and smooth day to day service. With no late evenings or split shifts, this role offers a strong work life balance while still allowing you to take pride in producing high quality food in a rewarding environment.
