Job summary

Deeside Care Home in Aberdeen is looking for a Chef on a Bank contract to deliver high quality, nutritious meals in a caring environment. You will prepare meals to dietary needs, maintain presentation and hygiene, and contribute to daily service with a reliable, patient-focused approach.

The role offers a consistent day shift pattern with no late evenings or split shifts, PVG paid, uniform provided, and access to ongoing training and development within Care Concern Group.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Experience in a professional kitchen.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A positive and reliable approach.

Our impressive 68-bedded care facility provides residents with exceptional standards of Nursing, Residential, Dementia and Respite care, in a luxury setting.

Chef Contract

• £14.56 per hour
• Contracted to Bank hours per week
• Paid PVG, uniform provided

Role Overview
As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are a key part of daily life. This is a role where your cooking has real impact, bringing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing.
You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements. Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that residents look forward to each day.
Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and smooth day to day service. With no late evenings or split shifts, this role offers a strong work life balance while still allowing you to take pride in producing high quality food in a rewarding environment.
What We Are Looking For
