Job summary

Hazelwell Care Home in Wirral is seeking a Chef for a bank contract with day shifts. You will deliver nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences, while maintaining presentation, hygiene and safety standards.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will help with menu planning and kitchen organisation. There are no late evenings or split shifts, offering good work-life balance and opportunities for training and development.

Based in the Wirral, our stunning all-inclusive 55-bed care facility offers high-quality Nursing, Residential, Dementia & Respite care.

Chef Contract

• £13.52 per hour
• Contracted to 0 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are a key part of daily life. This is a role where your cooking has real impact, bringing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing.

You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements. Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that residents look forward to each day.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will contribute to menu planning, kitchen organisation and smooth day to day service. What We Are Looking For

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards
