Bank Care and Support Assistant

£12.60 per hour

Hours: as and when required

Sanctuary Supported Living is recruiting a Bank Care and Support Assistant at our CQC Registered, Mental Health Service at Sidegate Lane in Ipswich.

We deliver personalized housing, care, and support services across England to help people live independently.

As a not-for-profit organization, we prioritize local support and put our customers at the center of our work. We aim to support our staff in reaching their career goals through training and benefits.

Role responsibilities include:

• Providing personalized care and support to promote independence
• Assisting with washing, dressing, bathing, and hygiene
• Administering medication
• Supporting with shopping, cleaning, and laundry
• Helping arrange and attend appointments, e.g., with GPs
• Engaging with customers to prevent social isolation
• Maintaining accurate records
• Promoting safety and conducting risk assessments

Skills and experience required:

• Experience with physical/learning disabilities or high needs is preferred
• Enthusiastic, flexible, with a positive attitude
• Organized with good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or willingness to achieve it
• Strong communication skills to build relationships
