Job summary

iRock School of Music is seeking a Band Coach to deliver energetic, music-based sessions across primary schools in the UK. You’ll inspire children through drums, keyboard, guitar, and vocals, while managing a busy timetable and building positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

Based across Melton Mowbray and surrounding areas, you’ll travel between schools with mileage paid and a permanent, full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Must be competent on at least two instruments (Drums, Guitar, Keys, Vocals).
• Friendly, upbeat and able to connect quickly with both children and adults.
• Organised and able to manage a varied weekly timetable.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-energy band sessions for groups of primary-aged children across up to 10 schools per week.
• Teach multiple instruments with confidence in at least two of them.
• Build warm relationships with pupils, parents and school staff.
• Help children prepare for live performances.
• Carry out light daily admin (about 30 minutes).
• Support learners working towards entry-level music awards.
• Set up and pack away equipment as part of daily routine.
